Learning Another CMS

Almost all of my blogs run with wordpress.  Why wordpress? The vast choices of plugins and ease of use are the main reasons why Wordpress Rocks.  This November, Wordpress Crazyhorse will finally be released and this is such another opportunity for us, wordpress users to enjoy a new innovated version.  I have blogged about Crazyhorse after i attended wordcamp last month.  We had the chance to meet Mr. Wordpress himself, Matt.

Anyhoo, the topic is not about wordpress alone but a new (well for me) content management system or CMS, which is Joomla.  I have read somewhere sometime that there is a joomla day celebrated in the Philippines within this past few months.  I didn’t attend because i know nothing about cms back then.  Now, a friend of mine got hold of a hostgator reseller account and offered me a space for me to use.  It is a great opportunity for me to learn another CMS, Joomla.  Special thanks to Xandei, you’re the man! :)

Why not stick with wordpress?

This is not me leaving wordpress period.  But this is about learning a new cms and not only wordpress.  The same friend who offered me a space, gave me a tip that a user, should not keep all his blogs in wordpress system.  I had a vague understanding about it but followed his advice anyway.  Now I will soon start with my joomla and my Local-targeted-4-month-blog.  I’m really excited about it, though there are times that I am very busy with other projects like the Captivating Capiz contest, I will sure give time to learn new things such as this.

Mucho Libre Slapped With A Page Rank

captivating-capiz-slap-imageDont let the negativity of the title get into you.  Since its humble begginings, Mucho Libre didn’t get the chance to have a page rank.  This is so because this served as an experimental blog a few months back.  I have many plans for Mucho Libre and was not that successful for the reason that is inevitable or beyond my control.  There was a time that this was supposed to be a freebie site which shares on what is free over the internet, then it joined contests such as Cebu SEO Contest and Captivating Capiz. I also tried to put up this site as a review site doing pay per posts and reviews, but never get a response from pay per post programs. Pathetic. lol.

Abandoning Mucho Libre

I was on the verge of abandoning Mucho Libre, since my Captivating Capiz entry was recently de-indexed by google.  I admit that I really lost hope and determination to keep up with this blog, thus trying to let this float around the limbo of the internet and not updating it.

Slapped With a Page Rank 1

I know it is not big of a deal to get a page rank one (1) but it is still a page rank, is it not?  I am not happy and I am not that sad either.  I saw this small green fill on my page rank bar on my

Mucho Libre what?

If I abandoned this site, why still updating it? Because my Captivating Capiz entry was tagged at top four today by google.  You could see the leaderboard and spot my mucho libre on the number four spot.  No celebration yet, but it is a start since i got de-indexed for almost a week after my published entry.  I remember my Cebu Seo Contest wherein I topped at number one for four days and then drifted to the long lost pages of google, so no celebration yet.  What I am going to do is build up links for this blog.  Despite that I still rank for some keywords i targeted along the way, link building is one off-page optimization technique that really bore me.

Mucho Libre as an Affiliate Blog

Though not final, atleast its a start… Soon :D

Hey, No ADS!

Yep, this is just temporary, but as soon as i get sponsors, you might want to click them right?! RIGHT?! lol . for the meantime, enjoy an AD-FREE blog.

Good Karma for Good People

There are things in this life that you can’t or have done without the help of others.  If you could say, i could do this, or i could do that without the help of a friend or even a stranger, then you are a hypocrite. You must have done or achieved what you boast now because of a helping hand a friend lend you years back.

Worst case scenario is that, instead of being silent or do nothing, a person would actually, within his powers put a person down. This is the problem with our culture, It is commonly known as crab mentality.  The people you know you thought were friends are actually the one would drag you down.  I know someone who experience this tragic incident.

On the other side of light, there are people who are willing to help you in times of distress.  These are individuals who would unconditionally help another person. Don’t you love it when some people you know of are willing to help you?  It warms the heart and would wish he could have more what he is receiving right now because of the help he has givent to you.  I’d say GOOD KARMA FOR GOOD PEOPLE. I hope everyone living in this world would be kind and helpful to one other…. but then again.. A world without evil is inevitable, it is natural by nature and we can’t do anything about it.  I know i’m being idealistic here, but break a leg, it is free to day dream :)
