New Friends at Wordcamp
There’s History! Wordcamp 2008 was one helluva event. The topics and lecturers were great and the former was a good way to refresh the basics. We had a lot of freebies and also a free lunch sponsored by chowking. Thanks to the sponsors by the way for throwing in some cool stuff in the event. Registration started at eight a.m. and started the program at around ten. The structural classes were conducted in the morning and after lunch, we were gathered to the conference hall to lend our ears to the guest speaker. Matt Mullenweg, also known as Mr. Wordpress was the highlight of the event. he discussed the future of wordpress and had a teaser on Wordpress 2.7 which they named Crazyhorse.
After which, my new found friends from seo dot ph invited me to join them in Pier One in MOA. We had few bottles to drink and discussed some strategies and tips regarding seo, domaining, and personal life and experiences. What struck me and boost again my determination in pursing seo are some big guys in the industry that did not actually graduated with a computer related course. They [seo gurus] finished other courses and did self study and succeeded. Don’t you just love hearing stories like that? Well I do. Now let this be my chance to say thank you to those who shared ideas and welcomed me to their company. I had a great time and hopefully to meet up with you again soon.
